The USAID/Honduras’ Democracy and Governance Office seeks to hire a U.S. Personal Services Contractor (USPSC) to fill the position of a GS-12 Communications and Information Management Specialist. The Communications and Information Management Specialist will develop and support a strategic approach to DG Office data collection, analysis and synthesis, and reporting on and responding to inquiries regarding DG portfolio performance and the DG context in Honduras and produce high-level documents for the internal and external audiences.
The Communications and Information Management Specialist will also manage DG-related VIP visits and public outreach, this includes working closely with State Department colleagues, including the U.S. Ambassador in DG
events she will participate in as the keynote speaker or participant. Meeting position responsibilities will require a deep understanding of USAID/Honduras’ mandate, structure, response requirements, operations, and policies; being well-versed in the Honduran context for democracy development, good governance and citizen security; having the ability to function effectively and with minimal supervision and guidance in a challenging, dynamic, fast-paced, often politically-sensitive work environment; and developing productive, collaborative relationships with colleagues in the DG Office, in USAID/Honduras’ Development Outreach and Communications (COMMs) Office, the Embassy Public Affairs Section and Political and Economic Section.
