  1. Accountant

          SOL No. 72052224R10017

 

The Accountant position is located in the Office of Financial Management (OFM), USAID/Honduras and directly reports to the Chief Accountant. 

 

The basic function of this position is to perform the duties of an accountant. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for managing the Mission’s operating expense and program accounting system by identifying sources of funding, reviewing, processing, and recording accounting documents, transactions and budgets. Analyzes and records accounting data, prepares monthly reconciliations of the Fund Balance with Treasury and the Mission’s Trust Fund accounts, performs system closings, prepares Washington and GOH reports, and provides advice and support to Mission personnel on financial issues.

 

 

 

  1.  Administrative Specialist (Partner Liaison Security)

The basic function of the position is to supervise and manage the Mission safety and security activities and programs by collecting, disseminating, and managing open-source safety and security-related information from/to the Mission’s Implementing Partners (IPs), their sub-partners, and local organizations working with USAID, while supporting the Mission’s internal safety and security operations. The PLSS coordinates security efforts with the appropriate Mission staff and the IPs, provides updates through the Executive Office (EXO) to the USAID Front Office, the Contracting/Agreement Officers Representatives (COR/AORs), Office of Security (SEC), Regional Security Office (RSO), and applicable geographic and functional Bureaus regarding all matters related to the security of USAID/Honduras Ips and personnel. 

 

Additionally, the PLSS coordinates as appropriate with IPs and advises on practices and procedures that promote a high-level of safety, security, and operational support to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of programs while reducing and managing risk, in both physical security as well as cyber security. The job holder has country-wide impact, as its scope spans the geographic range in-country of all USAID IP activities, building trust and confidence with IPs, respecting their organizational cultures and approaches.
